Eco-friendly Formula 1?

With the new Formula 1 season just around the corner, the Honda team have released details of their 2007 car. Instead of covering them in sponsors adverts and logos the cars feature a huge aerial image of the Earth. The new livery is part of Honda’s campaign to raise awareness and money for environmental causes. It’s a brave move by Honda, especially as Formula 1 is hardly the most eco-friendly of sports.

Mmm, that great! I finally got a chance to watch Al Gore’s Inconvenient Truth last night on DVD and it certainly has made my awareness for the environment and our lives worth considering. It’s great to see that other campaigns have flourished for this movement so to speak.
