Future of Web Apps 2007

Good to see that the Future of Web Apps conference is scheduled again for February 20th/21st 2007. I went to the event earlier this year in London and thoroughly enjoyed it, and actually learned a few things (bonus!). I didn’t bother with @media this year because, although a fine event with top class speakers and good fun all round, I felt I wasn’t going to learn much new. This time round the event is spread over 2 days, with a further day for workshops for those not itching to get back to the office. The list of speakers is not formally announced yet, but Werner Vogels (Amazon), Rasmus Lerdorf (creator of PHP!) and Khoi Vinh (NY Times) are already confirmed. Registration opens on 13th November.

I’ll be heading down again, this time with a couple of colleagues and I’m sure there will be others from Newcastle. This time we should aim to get on the same train, rather than me, you and chris going in convoy
