Alpha Beta Gaga

After being in Beta for seemingly ages, Flickr has now gone Gamma. I don’t get all this Alpha/Beta/Gamma stuff. It makes sense if an app is still in development and doesn’t yet have a large user base, but Flickr has been out for years and has gazillions of users. You get the feeling Flickr are just taking the mickey here, but honestly, why bother?

I noticed the overhaul today. I’ve been a faithful Flickr user for one year and a half and I’ll continue to support this great creation. Imagine the possibilities in years to come.

Indeed Jorge. I didn’t mention it in my post, but the new features Flickr have introduced are great. Worthy refinements to an already great web app.
