Web Designer/Developer Resources
It seems that not a week passes without another new web design resource popping into view. Recent additions to the list are Vitamin and Bitesize Standards. One of the great things about being a web designer/developer is that you have so much information and help at your fingertips. If you’re stuck on (virtually) anything, a simple Google search invariably brings up an article or how-to to help you along the way.
This is my list of regular web design/developer resources (in order of usage) :
- Sitepoint
- ONLamp.com
- HTML Dog
- PHP.net
- Alistapart
- Digital Web
- IBM developerWorks
- Web Graphics
- UX Magazine
- Evolt
- Boxes and Arrows
- CSS Vault
- Yahoo! Developer Network
- QuirksMode

Hotscripts & various other script listing sites come in extremely handy if you’re in a rush to get functionality for something too, whether it be an out-of-the-box usage or an adaptation for a script of your own.

Good list Phil,
Another reasonable resource is http://forum.stylegala.com although the threads usually descend into chaos, anarchy or a combination of both.
http://forums.searchenginewatch.com is always a good read too.
And MSDN can’t be forgotten - i have yet to find a better resource for anything Microsoft - just takes a bit of digging sometimes.
