Browsing the Sage Gateshead website over the weekend, I spotted details of a 'performance' by Chas and Dave. As big a fan as I am of those chirpy cockernee sparras, you wonder if this what the sound engineers and architects had in mind when promising a building with world class audio dynamics. Rabbit rabbit rabbit!!!

Hee. I knew one of the Performance Programming team at Sage when she worked at a Glasgow venue, and really wouldn’t be surprised if she was behind this booking.
It’s a shame the blurb for the show doesn’t bill C&D as an avant-garde audiovisual performance project questioning contemporary notions of Cockneyicity, though...
