Replacing an iPod battery
Over the last few weeks the battery in my iPod has gradually given up the ghost, to the point where it no longer holds any charge at all. Arse. Given that it’s out of warranty, my question is should I send it back to Apple and pay £50 to have the battery replaced, or save some cash and try my luck with one of the many 3rd party sites offering replacement kits?

Just installed a 3rd party battery from www.ipodstore.co.uk last night. Left it charging last night and it appears to be fine. Once you get the casing off the fitting is pretty straight-forward. Getting the case off is real bugger though!
Pay £70 and get a Motorola ROKR E1 phone like me with iTunes installed on it... only holds 100 songs but great for drowning out the workmates Desperate Housewives conversations.
No help here, move along ;)
