Deep pockets, short arms
Like any true Scotsman I derive great pleasure from being frugal with money and getting my money’s worth from almost any purchase. This explains my annoyance at having to fork out nearly three quid for a sandwich most days, but my pleasure in acquiring David Gray’s 1996 album Sell Sell Sell for a mere scuba diver (£5). I was one of the many millions who bought White Ladder, but I might be even tempted to suggest that this album is better. Or maybe it just sounds better because it didn’t cost as much.
