Centre Pompidou

centre pompidou, paris

The Centre Pompidou really has to been seen to be believed. Surrounded by traditional 19th century Parisian mansions, the building sharply contrasts it’s environment with it’s bold functional aesthetic and primary colours. Built by Richard Rogers and Renzo Piano in the mid 1970s the museum/gallery/cinema/conference centre caused a huge amount of concern from locals and officials when it was built, but no-one can deny now that it has become one of the most (in)famous buildings in France.
