How strange. A half-eaten sandwich depicting the face of the Virgin Mary is causing a bit of a stir on eBay.
Diane Duyser re-submitted the item after eBay had originally withdrawn it, considering it to be a joke item (after it had attracted a top bid of $28,470).
If only I hadn’t flushed away that poo which looked like George W Bush…

I cannot believe that there are some wacko people out there willing to part with $69,000 to a bloody bit of toast with cheese.
What is the world coming to?
If you search ebay for "Virgin Mary Sandwich" you get loads of results. One auction is selling a cheese toastie because it was bitten into at the time the advert was shown on television and since then it has brought the owner good luck. It is only good luck because there is an arsehole out there willing to buy it.
Bloody idiots.
