del.icio.us

Like most people I use more than one computer regularly (G5 in the office and PowerBook at home). I also tend to switch between different browsers, so finding bookmarks can prove a little tricky sometimes.

As a result, I’ve started to use del.icio.us for this purpose, and found it to be one of the most interesting and well-executed web applications around. If you’ve not come across it yet, it’s a social bookmark manager — a public space to store and share links of interest from around the web (here’s mine so far).

The social aspect is the most interesting feature — you can view others bookmarks, copy interesting ones to your own collection, view the popularity of links and even subscribe to the links of a person whose list you find interesting. RSS feeds are available for just about everything, and there’s an API to integrate it into your own application (Mac users should check out Buzz Andersen’s Cocoa Del.icio.us Client as an example).

Check out the about page for more details.
