Looks like it Tim. With Kluivert on board, Newcastle also have Shearer, Bellamy, Ameobi, Chopra and Milner up front, so I reckon Daniel Bedingfield, er.. James Beattie, will stay at Southampton.

Looks like it could go either way with Kluivert, really. I’d love to see his fire rekindled at St James’s and wish him well, but there are a number of things that worry me.
For one, there’s the thought of him, Bellamy, Dyer et al on a quayside night out. Then there’s the possible conflict with Shearer, whom you feel wouldn’t take well to not being top dog.
Regardless, if Sid Lowe’s assessment is right, I just hope the fans show a bit more patience and compassion than they did with some players toward the end of last season.

Aye. That’s a pay cut too. He was on £100K a week at Barcelona.
Hopefully Robson hasn’t upset the wage structure at Newcastle. I can’t imagine other players like Shearer and Dyer being too happy at earning less than Kluivert.

It is a terrible, sickening amount of money. No one is worth £65K a week.....

Shearer’s rumoured to have a clause in his contract that says he must be paid at least as much as any other player in the squad, so if that’s true, I doubt he’ll be too upset. :)
