Shameless Plug

One of the original computers bought when Presence began, has reached the end of it’s long life. Our faithful grape iMac has been ruthlessly placed on ebay for auction, at the mercy of the highest bidder. A good home for this elderly, yet reliable worker is sought. Bidding starts at the ridiculously low price of £40… ahem.

Argh! If you’d have only said! In the next few weeks I’m looking to buy an imac (any spec) or ibook (clamshell, any spec) for my girlfriend!

If i win, do i get free delivery / pickup? ;)

Doh! It looks like the reserve has been met already, so you may have to join the auction if you’re still interested... If I’d known beforehand I wouldn’t have put it up, but it’s probably bad form to cancel and auction midway through...

Oh yeah definately.. but if you have any more of them (or the ibooks), or if you know a friend of a friend of a friend who could steal/acquire/find one for me *couUughh* then I should be able to entertain you! ;)

£40?? Can’t get a phone for that, like!

Ah well, lost it this time.

It got too expensive for a poor student like me. :)

It was defintely a close call winning the auction. In the remaining 4 seconds I managed to place the final bid. Just hope I use it now.

Berb, you can sell it to me for a small price if you don’t.

Living in "Studentdom" doesn’t allow me to bid what you did.

Congrats anyway.

Hi Chris

Cheers, I will remember that. The question is how small?

My wife always tells me that it is not quantity but quality. Hmmm

Berb Brown · 5 years, 10 months ago

hmmm... my missus says something along the same lines. :-)

Somewhere around 100-200 would be all I could realistically afford, but I wouldn’t expect you to sell it at a loss anyway... so I’ll shut up now. :)
