I just cheated and got 2, ner ner ;)

I was clicking back in my browser. Dunno what your backend is like, but it might be worth fixing with session vars or a unique id or something. Nice site!

Aargh! I’ll have to fix that.

There’s a session which runs whilst you play, but all it holds is the answer string. I guess I can add a session ID... Or I could store the number of attempts in the DB as soon as the puzzle is solved, then update the record if someone adds their details. Hmm...

I’ll have to strike your score off mate, but bonus points for hacking ;-)

Hmm, think I’ve fixed it. I’ve added some extra PHP code to validate the session each time. Once the score is revealed, the session is destroyed. You can click back in your browser, but if you submit another set of numbers, you’ll reset the game. I don’t think it’s 100% reliable, but it’ll do until I think of something else ;-)

Plan B. I’ve added another session var containing the number of attempts made. This method should track how many times you submit an answer (regardless of clicking back in the browser history). Hopefully this method is a bit more effective... ;-)
