Google's Online Floatation

After speculation over the last 18 months, Google have set March next year as a provisional date to float on the stock market. In true Google style, the initial public offering is set to take place, not through Wall Street, but via an online auction.

The IPO is expected to value the company at around £9bn. Kerching!

Owen Gibson reckons Google will change after the IPO -

"the company does now have so much power that we can only hope it doesn’t become corrupted by the chase to meet quarterly sales targets."
