Silverstone Delivers

How good was the British Grand Prix yesterday? Aside from the lunatic strolling down Hangar Straight as cars roared round at 160 mph, it was a proper race with overtaking - yes, cars actually passing each other.

For once we had a race which was more like a karting competition than a procession. Barrichello was the main man and pulled some audacious overtaking manoeuvres on Raikkonen and Ralf Schumacher to take the win.

The event is in doubt for next season but following the drama and entertainment of yesterday, it would be a real shame if it dropped off the sporting calendar.

"more like a karting competition than a procession"

Exactly! :) I was thinking exactly the same thing. Any further thoughts about this Friday’s karting, btw?

Hi Mal, unlikely I’m afraid - cashwari naan situation is quite bad this month. Are you going along? If so, I’d love to see some photos of the event.

Yep, I’m going. I’ll try to remember the photos, but apologies in advance if I get lost in the racing. :) I’ll see if there’s a non-competitor going who can take the snaps.
