iTunes Success
In under a week, Apple seems to have established itself as the largest online music company in the world. If you believe the hype, one million songs were downloaded from the iTunes Music Store last week, half of them albums, and on the back of this, Apple received 110,000 orders for the new iPods.
Not too shabby, though some posters at Slashdot have reservations about the security of the system and there appears to be some technical gremlins in the new iPods.
These criticisms aside, it looks like Apple as hit gold with it’s model. Now we need to see more music available from more labels, and, of course, worldwide access to the store.
