The Philosopher's Bank Balance
It seems Britain (and soon to be the world) has gone mad over Harry Potter. The film is out soon and the books are selling like hot cakes. I’ve never read any of J.K.Rowling’s books but they seem to occupy that invaluable area of appeal which captivates both adults and children. I was round a friends last night who is a staff sergeant in the British Armed Forces, and he asked for his 8 year old daughters Harry Potter books to be sent out to him when he was on tour in Kosovo. Extraordinary.
Also saw the new Volkswagen advertisement for the Lupo at the weekend. An incredible advert, it features an animated infant charging round a hospital, bursting through doors and walls and escaping out into the snow outside. Totally captivating. Tried to find a movie of it on the internet this morning, but couldn’t find one - no such luck. Look out for it.
