In the world of football (always a good place to escape to when all things computer go tits up) the Brazilians are still on the verge of not qualifying for the World Cup next year. Many have already said what a loss this would be to world football - to which I wholeheartedly disagree. There is way too much arrogance in football, I was one who had a wry smile when the Dutch failed to qualify despite their extravagance of world class footballers. I think it’s great to see nations like Ireland, Ecuador and Senegal compete at their expense.
Also talking World Cup, the Iran coach has threatened (promised?) to hang himself if they do not win their play-off game against the Irish. I think the Irish are the better team so I might keep an eye on the post-match analysis there...
