Glorious failure, da Vinci and XP

I forfeited a night at the cinema to see The Man Who Wasn’t There for the Celtic Champions League game against the mighty Juventus - and was glad I chose the latter. Taking nothing away from the Coen Brothers film, the game was pure entertainment. It was difficult to know which goal was better - Del Piero’s free-kick, Trezeguet’s left foot finish or Sutton’s left foot volley. It was of course, inevitable that Celtic would be knocked out despite defeating the mighty Juventus, because Celtic are a Scottish football team and therefore doomed to a life of glorious failure...

After almost 500 years, a bridge design by Leonardo da Vinci has finally been built. The town of As in Norway are the lucky recipients of the beautiful design, featuring three laminated timber arches supporting a walkway. Check out the website.

Looks like the software hackers are hard at work finding holes in Windows XP, and have had some success already. [via mediaguardian.co.uk]
