Found out some real nerdy Apple stuff with Matt today. You know that dodgy software used to scan images on Classic, called TWAIN. Ever wondered why it was called that? Well, apparently it stands for Technology Without An Interesting Name. No idea on the validity of this suggestion - but sounds fun all the same.
And.... The Apple system sound Sosumi had it’s name derived from an incident when they were threatended by Apple Records about the similarity in names - even though Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak clearly didn’t make any records. So when they developed the system sounds (I guess a form of music) they devoted one to Apple Records and called it Sosumi - (so-sue-me). Geddit?
Useful? - definitely not, interesting? - maybe, nerdy? - most definitely.
