Blooming Dales

We made the most of the weekend sunshine by visiting John and his family in the beautiful Cumbrian Dales. This shot was taken at Rigmaden near Kirkby Lonsdale in the Lune Valley. You can just see the bluebells beginning to bloom, covering the ground with a faint blue carpet.

Hmm, yeah I’ve thought of that before.. but all my pics are shot with a 2 megapixel camera (a Fuji A202), so they look great scaled down to 450 pixels (as they are here), but not so hot at much larger resolutions...
