Gmail adds Safari support

Google has added support for Safari to its new email service, Gmail. However, I’ve found the 'support' to be a bit flaky, with constant refreshing required simply to get to the login page.

Don’t worry though, because until Google fixes these little problems, Gmail still works fantastically well in Firefox.

Cheers Adam – there’s also POP support now if reading mail through a web browser is not your thing :

Really? Must be something odd with my Safari then. I found that every time I loaded the URL it would just sit there saying ‘Loading’ in the top corner.

My Safari version is 1.2.4 (v125.11)

Safari support has been there for a little while.

I have experienced the problem you described, on the odd occasion, but it’s easily solved by stripping the URL down to just http://gmail.google.com/gmail and pressing return. Gmail is still a beta, after all. ;)

Glad to hear I’m not imagining things then :) I was experiencing it every single browser session, but I never have any problems in Firefox.
