iBeam

It’s amazing what you can do with your iPod these days. Not content with storing all your digital photos on it, recording voice memos or streaming your music to an FM frequency, you can also use it as a flashlight or laser pointer.

Perfect for dazzling your colleagues when they’re trying to give a presentation.

What next, an egg whisk? Griffin showed innovation with the PowerMate, the SightLight and the iTrip, but it seems like they’ve run out of neat ideas with this one. A flashlight maybe, but a laser pointer? Nothing annoys me more than the misuse of those things.

One thing that does puzzle me is – why is there no FM radio on the iPod? I assume there must be a good reason for it – I just don’t know what it is...

"It’s too dark to find my keys–I should use my iBeam. Hmm, it’s too dark to find my iBeam (which is on my keychain), I’ll just use the display from my iPod."
