David Pogue

US journal Pioneer Press has an interesting interview with David Pogue, author of "Mac OS X - The Missing Manual". A man of many hats, he talks about Palm Computing and *cough* Windows XP, but he has some interesting comments on Mac OS X :

"Mac OS X is important to average consumers only in that it sets up Apple for its new strategy, which is creating software that can’t run on any other machine. iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, iTunes."

It’s an interesting comment but the idea of Apple creating software for other OS' has always scared me. The biggest mistakes in Apple’s short history all have come from Apple over-extending itself.
