Fireworks and Dreamweaver MX

About a month after Flash went OS X compatible, Macromedia have released MX versions of their other two web publishing products, Fireworks and Dreamweaver, both named MX 6.0 (what happened to version 5?). These releases are preview releases, with the full commercial upgrades available next month.

The new feature lists are quite extensive (the list of new Fireworks features can be found here), and I was pleased to read on that Dreamweaver 6 offers vastly improved support for CSS, XHTML, and accessibility, mainly as a result of consultation with WaSP.

Does anyone know what MX stands for? Just curious...

I shall be upgrading as soon as possible. At last, along with Photoshop 7, we have some useful software for OS X. All I need now is someone who has a copy of InDesign 2...

Fireworks and Photoshop are the key for me really. I haven’t really used Dreamweaver for a few years now, though with better CSS and XHTML support it sounds like a much better tool than before.

Now, if I can find a developer who wants to port Doom II to OS X.....
