Tiger Screenshots

MacRumors.com has posted some screenshots purportedly to be from a developer release of OS X 10.4 (aka 'Tiger'). If the screenshots are real, then extra features we can expect to see in the forthcoming release include:

  • The ability to search System Preferences with a highlighting system indicating control panels relevent to your search.
  • A firewall 'stealth mode'
  • A feature called Dashboard which offers Konfabulator-like desktop widgets

Steve Jobs is to give a preview of Tiger at WWDC on Monday.

Update: The screen shots have been removed from the MacRumors site at the request of Apple.

As many have pointed out, they appear to be fakes. Only one day to go until we know for sure. ;)

Don’t remember mention of the Stealth mode in the keynote speech. Did I miss this or was it a fake?

Not sure. Maybe it wasn’t enough of a major feature to be included in the keynote.
