Speedy Sheets
This is a nice little hint from Mac OS X Hints — you know those little sheets that slide out from document windows when you save or print? They appear in Cocoa apps like TextEdit, Mail, iPhoto etc. You can speed things up by changing the defaults setting with this command :
defaults write NSGlobalDomain NSWindowResizeTime .001
Now, instead of waiting for the window to slide out, it instantly appears and disappears, letting you get on. Eye candy is nice, but sometimes you just wanna get stuff done quickly and easily.

Forgot to mention – changing the value back to 0.2 restores it to the default setting.
