BBC Report on Spoken Interface

The BBC is running an article on the features Apple is incorporating into OS X to aid those with visual impairment and learning difficulties.

The article is pretty sparse on details of what it will be able to do and when it will be introduced, but significantly, there’s been some reaction from the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) about the software:

"If the rumours are true, RNIB welcomes this initiative - accessibility built into mainstream systems is critical if we’re to move forward."

I don’t get it.... "if the rumours are true?" Rumours? My Mac has speech as one of its services!
