Apple have released a patch for Panther which fixes the faults with FireWire 800 drives and FileVault. The update also includes the latest security updates and improvements to printing and WebDAV.
The 1.5 mb update is available through Software Update or via apple.com.
Also, got the PowerBook back yesterday - woohoo! I gave it a quick one-over before running out to play football last night, and all seems to be well. Apple left a note inside saying it had performed a complete hardware maintenance check and repaired/replaced some defective parts - though it didn’t say which parts. It would’ve been nice to know what went wrong, but I guess the main thing is that we’re operational once again.
