Alternatives to Microsoft
More browser news - the Chimera developers are on a bit of a roll, as 0.2.3 is released. New features include faster text rendering, new gamma settings and Aqua form elements. Though still some way from completio, the browser shows great potential.
In contrast, after years of development, Mozilla has reached 1.0. A milestone in achievement, the browser is one of the best for Mac OS X, though many users have criticized the browser for becoming bloated by including extra features such as composer and mail.
I think when Chimera nears completion, Mozilla for Mac OS X may become redundant as users seek a faster, prettier, browser-only application.

bejesus - those Chimera developers move fast! <a href="http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=14326&db=macosx" title="download via Version Tracker">version 0.2.4 is out today</a>.
The release notes contain this info though : "contains experimental plugin support. If you value stability on pages with plugins, you will probably want to avoid this build. If you want to see our progress, then happy downloading. If not, you should probably stick with 0.2.3."
