Apple release new 15-inch Powerbook

As predicted and anticipated by many, Apple have announced a new 15" Powerbook. The 15" gets the same aluminium treatment as the 12" and 17" versions and features the following spec.

  • 1 GHz or 1.25 GHz G4 chips
  • 15.2 widescreen display (up to 1280 x 854 resolution)
  • Built in Bluetooth
  • Built in Airport Extreme
  • Illuminated keyboard
  • USB 2.0
  • Firewire 400 and 800
  • DDR RAM capacity up to 2GB
  • Total weight of 5.6 pounds

They’re available now on the Apple website, priced at $1999 and $2599, though at time of posting there are problems getting into the UK store - seems like Apple are getting a surge of orders already!
