as one poster at Versiontracker is calling the 'application busy' pointer on OS X as the latest release of IE5 randomly times out for no reason. I can’t say I’ve had this problem myself but IE does seem generally sluggish compared to the likes of its Gecko-based counterparts.

Actually, I’ve had this a couple of times today (after upgrading to 5.1.4) - just before I was about to force quit the bugger, it snaps back into life....
