Camino 0.7
Camino, the browser formerly known as Chimera, has reached version 0.7. Most notable changes are a new Download Manager, sidebar-accessible History and a couple of new toolbar buttons.
With Camino becoming ever better and Safari looking like fullfilling it’s potential, it puzzles me that Microsoft have failed to respond with any announcements on the future of Internet Explorer for Mac.

Microsoft has responded, in a roundabout way, with the announcement of MSN for Mac OS X. Apparently, MSN 8.0 for Mac includes the underlying browser engine architecture that was built for Internet Explorer 6 for Mac, a project which was set aside (temporarily?) for the MBU to complete the MSN project. Now that MSN is up and running, and will be available very soon, I suspect we can expect to see IE:Mac 6 in short order, perhaps by the middle of the year.

Bearing in mind the interface and performance improvements Safari and Camino have over IE5, it’ll be interesting to see how IE6 manifests.
