A new future for iCommune
After ruffling the feathers of the Apple legal eagles, Jim Speth has decided to release a new version of iCommune. This time it will be a stand-alone application instead of an iTunes plug-in, and connections will only be available to users on 'buddy lists'. Speth hopes this aspect will help him dodge any copyright-related legal proceedings. Wired has the story.
If you can’t wait, iHam on iRye does a similar thing, though to a lesser degree in terms of performance and functionality.
